Plain-language summary of what StockPay does, what it does not do, and what you are agreeing to when you take a payment through it.

What you are using

StockPay is payment infrastructure. It quotes an asset price, holds that rate for a defined window, records the obligation, and confirms settlement.

Not a broker, exchange, or custodian

StockPay does not hold your funds, execute trades on your behalf, or provide investment advice. Onchain settlement moves value directly between the payer's wallet and a treasury address you control. Equity settlement depends on a brokerage or custody partner you connect yourself.

The parts that matter

Quoted rates expire

A locked rate holds for a defined window, shown at checkout. After it expires the payment returns to awaiting a payment method and must be re-quoted. Asset prices move; an unbounded lock would be a free option written against the merchant.

Settlement is observed, not asserted

A payment is marked paid only when a transfer of the exact expected amount has been independently observed and confirmed to the configured depth. Confirming a payment opens a settlement channel; it is not a receipt.

Onchain transfers are irreversible

Once a transfer confirms it cannot be recalled. Sending to a wrong address, on a wrong network, or in a wrong amount may result in permanent loss. Verify the address and network shown at checkout before sending.

Refunds are an obligation, not a transfer

Recording a refund registers what is owed. Returning value to the payer is a separate payout that depends on your rail and custody arrangement.

Network fees are the sender's

Gas is paid by whoever broadcasts the transaction. Custody and clearing fees for equity settlement are set by the partner you connect.

Wallet sign-in is not an exchange login

Signing in proves control of an address by signing a message. It costs no gas and authorises no transaction. StockPay never asks for an exchange password, API secret, or MFA code.

Your responsibilities

Current status

Equity custody is adapter-backed and not live. Rate limiting, KYC/AML, tax reporting, and payout execution are not implemented. Read what actually works before routing real money.
